Dev log #3: 28/05/2025 (Tech Demo Version)
"Round the City" Update
+ Added City 1 level design layout (includes 4 bars and uses the new road & building assets)
+ Added new road and building assets
+ Changed splitscreen to be top/bottom
+ Improved UI sizing and alignment
+ Replaced the drunken blurring effect from a frosted glass panel to an actual Gaussian blurring shader, and improved the blurring intensity function in relation to alcohol count.
+ Fixed bug related to blackout panel
+ Tweaked player movement (mainly rotation speed, e.g. added maxangularvelocity)
+ Temporarily removed civilian cars (they were too buggy and disruptive for the tech demo, but they're being worked on and will come back later when more polished)
+ fixed bugs related to player & cop collision
+ Added rounds system (instead of the game ending when the cop catches the drunk driver, the round ends and then resets the level and switches player roles) (This way, each player gets a chance to get a fine highscore as the drunk driver, and then the players can compare scores after)
+ Implemented player role switching (switches controls connection, camera configuration, minimap player icon colours, some UI text and some UI screen placement) This way, when the roles switch for each round, player 1 can always focus on top screen and use WASD and player 2 can always focus on bottom screen and use the arrow keys
